About
On Presence is an exploration of how presence shapes the way we live, design, travel, and encounter the world. Through essays and reflections on culture, ethics, and place, the project considers how attention, restraint, and atmosphere influence both spaces and everyday life. The writings move between cultures and environments, observing how different traditions embody presence in subtle ways — through architecture, hospitality, craftsmanship, and the rhythm of daily life. Particular attention is given to how places are experienced, and how they, in turn, shape perception. Rather than offering prescriptions, On Presence approaches presence as a practice of observation. It looks at how spaces, objects, and gestures inform our way of being, and how certain environments sustain a sense of coherence and quiet clarity.
This work will extend into in-person gatherings and structured learning experiences. Details will be shared in due time.
